Role      Transactions Analyst

Purpose of role
The Transaction Analyst’s role will be to support the Transactions team in the effective execution of the disposal and acquisition of assets across all sectors, in line with Blackstone’s investment strategy, drawing on considerable experience in financial modelling, stakeholder and project management, marketing co-ordination, due diligence and valuation.

A key aspect of the role is coordinating and supporting internal stakeholders as well as teams of external agents, consultants and advisors and to reinforce and live the culture of 151 Property in all internal and external interactions.


  • Work with the asset management teams to ensure each property within the portfolio is in a state of readiness for sale, including collation of current data for electronic data rooms
  • Assist in obtaining proposals from agents, marketing/strategy agencies and advisors, including the co-ordination of presentations with management (where required by sector heads/CEO)
  • Prepare recommendations to management and Blackstone for the appointment of external service providers including selling agencies
  • Work with in-house and external legal providers to document the appointment of external service providers in a timely manner
  • Prepare detailed disposal campaign programs and track on a weekly basis
  • Prepare campaign budgets and track against actual to ensure campaigns are delivered within budget
  • Clearly communicate objectives to stakeholders
  • Seek relevant approvals in line with delegations of authority and powers of attorney
  • Work with marketing coordinator (where applicable) to develop high quality marketing material and ensure appropriate approvals have been received at agreed milestones and material is delivered in line with agreed program
  • Co-ordinate regular agency meetings during disposal campaigns
  • Assist with co-ordination of technical, legal and tax documentation, pertaining to the disposal of assets, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage the population of data rooms, with support from asset management teams and external stakeholders
  • Assist with co-ordination of bid closing process, including analysis of bids, recommendations (where required) and obtaining approvals from management/Blackstone, legal documentation negotiation (with legal advisors)
  • Coordinate purchaser’s due diligence queries with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate responses are provided during the disposal phase
  • Work with the 151 Property Commercial Support Manager and finance teams to integrate offboard sold assets


Support Transactions team, 151 Property management and Blackstone to secure acquisitions, including:

  • Preparation of financial models and detailed reports
  • Preparing deal timeline, advisor list and budget
  • Assist with due diligence
  • Coordinating execution of Confidentiality Agreements
  • Coordinating asset inspections
  • Coordinating IC meetings between 151 Property & Blackstone
  • Co-ordinating handover to asset management team


  • Prepare, or assist with the preparation of, board, management and internal reporting, which is to be concise, accurate and delivered on time
  • Liaise with the 151 Property and Blackstone finance teams as required
  • Contribute to the business with a continual focus on improving systems, processes and performance
  • Provide support to the Blackstone transactions team on an as required basis
  • Work with the Head of Analytics to develop a comprehensive in-house research database, which will assist in the formulation of ‘house’ views
  • Analyse market transactions (with specific focus on comparisons to our current portfolio and target acquisitions)
  • Be a 151 Property brand ambassador

Essential skills

  • Candidates will ideally be tertiary qualified in Commerce, Finance or Property Economics with proven relevant work experience in an Analyst, Valuations or Capital Transactions role along with strong financial modelling skills. Valuations experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • 5+ years proven experience in real estate sector
  • Possess a high financial aptitude, commercial acumen and ability to analyse financial data from budgets, business plans, feasibilities and valuations
  • High levels of behavioral awareness in self and others
  • Ability to maintain a high energy, positive, creative, solutions driven, client orientated, dynamic and responsive culture
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent relationship and trust building skills
  • Proficient conflict resolution and problem solving
  • Self-motivated

Capital Transactions agents, technical advisors and consultants, lawyers, marketing/branding agencies, research teams, valuers and key operatives in the property market.
